After accompanying a group of students in 2022 as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, for the Interchange project, Nico Angiuli returns to Intersecția this year as an artist-in-residence to develop the suggestions that emerged from that first experience and to elaborate his own aesthetic reflection.
His research will focus on the gestures of agricultural labor and their mechanization, on the landscape and its dissipation, addressing both personal and collective aspects of everyday life through a global lens, in a historical phase marked by cultural and climate change.
Nico Angiuli is an Italian visual artist who lives and works between Berlin and the Mediterranean. He works with installation, performance, and video, carrying out research on the socio-political implications of labor, especially in relation to the body. Since 2017 he has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, and since 2025, he has been a visiting professor at the UNIDEE Academy of Cittadellarte – Pistoletto Foundation, in Biella.
In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest.
